Business as normal – but we are teaching online!

We are living through strange times and many uncertainties but we just wanted to update all our students again with information about courses in general, in line with all current Government guidance. Thankfully this situation we all find ourselves in is only temporary and will come to an end, even though none of us knows when that will be. We want to make sure that we support you through this period as well as we can so once normality returns you will be in the best position you can be to continue with your professional qualifications.

So the main message is it’s business as usual at iCount but with all classes now continuing online using Adobe Connect. All students are being sent links to their respective remote classes so that you can all carry on studying with your usual tutors. At present we are not considering reopening the classrooms however as soon as that becomes sensible we will let you know. We expect that even when the classrooms reopen we will continue to teach students attending remotely as well as in the classroom.


Information from all Institutes re exams

ICAEW have cancelled some June exams and all our students have been contacted regarding changes to course dates. Updated information from the ICAEW is here.

ACCA – June exams cancelled – September and December exams will be running with remote testing. See here for more information.

CIMA are now running Case and Objective Test exams remotely. All students will be able to sit their exams as planned and can therefore continue to study without interruption. See here for more information.

AAT – exams are currently suspended by the AAT but will be restarting remotely over the Summer. Please see latest information on exams here. We are continuing to teach classes remotely and support students until the exams are reopened by the AAT. See here for more information. 


Our Manchester office is closed but the Customer Service team are working remotely to support you

In line with Government advice we have temporarily shut the office completely but our Admin team are still all working hard to answer all queries and support you and the classes but only via email, so please email any general questions or queries to or if it is about a specific class or subject, to your tutor. The team are committed to maintaining as normal a service as possible, even though we, like many of you, are remote working. All course materials for Day 1s are now being emailed out to you and should also be available to download when you login to a class.

Adobe Connect seems to be working well as remote teaching technology although there have been random issues with trouble logging in at the start of the day. It seems it is better to download the desktop application and enter the meeting through that rather than using a browser, so if you have any issues this would be the advice. Please make sure you login early so that any issues can be resolved before the start of class at 9.30am. Could I also ask that you login using your full name (first and surname) so we can continue to register attendance and also so we know who is in the class! It’s nice to make it personal by knowing whom we are talking to!

If you are an apprentice progress reviews will now be done online and your skills coach will inform you of any such changes by email.
