Coronavirus – Impact

Latest Information – 31/07/2020

Government tightening of restrictions in Greater Manchester – 31st July – courses to be delivered remote only (Office remains open for exams)

In response to the Government’s local tightening of restrictions in the Greater Manchester area, we will be taking the socially responsible decision to temporarily run all classes remote only, whilst the tightened restrictions are in place. We will be reviewing this on a weekly basis and will return to the classroom (with remote option) in line with Government easing the current restrictions. Exams in the centre will continue with 2m social distancing and other measures in place.

All students booked on classroom courses will be contacted the week before to confirm if the course will be delivered fully remotely or in the classroom (with remote option). If you have any queries please contact us at

Gradual reopening of the office – July 16th

As social distancing measures are reduced and the Government is encouraging a safe return to work premises, we are gradually reopening our training centre in order to offer the best support we can to students facing exams in the next six months. We have made significant changes to procedures and premises (see below) to comply with covid-19 safety guidance and to enable a gradual return to the classroom in a phased way. We are returning to the classroom by qualification and course type, and students who are booked on courses will be contacted when the option to return to the classroom is available. All courses will continue to offer the option of logging in remotely for students who would prefer or who are unable to return to the classroom.

The phased reopening is as follows:

End of June – exam room reopened for AAT exams

July 16th – reopening of classroom courses for ICAEW revision courses. You will be contacted is you are booked on these courses.

August 9th – reopening of classroom courses for ACCA revision courses to September exams. You will be contacted if you are booked on these courses.

September – CIMA courses return to the classroom

The return to the classroom for AAT courses continues to be monitored and once we have further updates we will inform students. For now, these courses continue to be run remotely.

Skills days for Apprentices will also continue to run remotely.

Classroom Covid-19 changes

A full Covid-19 risk assessment has been carried out

– There are hand sanitising stations located around the college that must be used regularly

– Classroom seating is spaced 1m+ and room capacities have been reduced accordingly

– Refreshments are available but the communal seating area will remain closed and microwaves, fridges and cutlery will be inaccessible

– In order to reduce interaction between students from different classes, start, lunch and finish time will be staggered. Students will be informed of their class specific timings before the course starts

– Lift capacity has significantly reduced to 4 people per lift

– The college will be cleaned thoroughly daily and in addition the toilets and refreshment area will be cleaned throughout the day

– Students who wish to wear a face mask are able to do so, but this is not mandatory

– We are asking students to ensure they follow government guidance regarding symptoms. For the latest information please click Here
